FAQ -
Can I play with my friends by passing the device around?
Yes! Get your family and friends together and race each other to the Crown!

Does the game offer cross-platform multiplayer?
It certainly does! Play against players on other platforms in online games.

Do I need to buy expansions to join an online game with expansions?
No! You do not need to buy expansion packs in order to join a game that is using them, but you cannot choose the characters from it until you purchase it.

Does the game have asynchronous play?
No. Talisman doesnt really suit asynchronous play due to players having to react to spell casting.

Pros and cons of Talisman app for iPhone and iPad

Talisman app good for

This game is great. But can you guys please fix the AI? When the AI gets the bag of carrying or something similar it just keeps putting stuff in and taking stuff out and its driving me nuts. Thanks!
A must have game for anyone who is a fan of Talisman (or any tabletop fantasy game for that matter)!!! Definitely every bit as fun as the tabletop version just on your phone!!!
I used to play the actual board game, and this is a great iPad port. Seriously worth every penny.
I just bought it and it makes hell of fun. Never played this before and now im addicted :-) There are a Lot of characters to Play and a bunch of strategies. It just have a leak of players. So get it and we can play together :)
If ai has the crown of command and the player steals it via a spell nothing changes. Normally the player would not suffer damage by the crown anymore (cause the card text says the owner is protected), i think also the ainplayer shouldnt be able to trigger it anymore once he lost the crown. Auto Zoom is also still buggy. Please fix!
Ive been playing the FFG revised 4th edition since it was released a few years ago. Nomad has done an amazing job translating that version to the digital platforms. Its obvious they are fans of the game. The only real blemish for me is that the AI can be a little dopey at times. Doing things a human player would never do. Regardless I thoroughly recommend playing this game. Its well worth the money.

Some bad moments

The game is good but after playing for a year, and buying most of the expansions, Nomad shipped an update that reset all my progress. They told me they could do nothing to help me. I asked them if they could at least credit me for the runestones pack so I could replace what Id lost there, but they ignored me. Beware!
If you update to this version it will wipe out your profile and put you back to the start. Your Runestones will be gone and cant be restored. Plus, the game now has several known bugs with the AI stuck "thinking"
5.20.16 STILL not fixed. OVER A YEAR LATER. 5.17.16 STILL not fixed, despite claims. 5.13.16 STILL not fixed. 11.11.15 STILL not fixed. 11.2.15 STILL not fixed. See long list of angst below. These developers absolutely do not deserve your money. 8.13.15 STILL not fixed. These developers are apathetic to their users and beyond inept. 6.10.15 MONTHS later, the newest update STILL doesnt fix the private game issue. Didnt waste time poking around to see what else is still wrong with it, as this issue renders the game worthless. These developers dont care what they put their name on. _________________ I *still* cant invite a player to a private game. You have devastatingly turned a 5+ star game into completely unusable garbage with your last two updates. As new players, my husband and I couldnt be more disappointed with your complete disregard to functional development. As potential addicts, youve alienated two customers who dont trust in your abilities nearly enough to invest a penny in the games thoroughly intriguing expansion packs. Frankly, until you can prove you are the least bit capable, we prefer the loss be yours, not ours.
Pretty good game, but bugs cause save files to repeatedly crash, meaning you must start over... But far worse than that, the interface skips using common touch controls, and forces you to use tiny buttons that sit far too close together off to the side of the screen. In addition, its not always clear what steps must be taken to cast a spell.
The game is fun. Each character has its own distinct feel. The big problem here is the design of this digital version of the game. The most glaring problem is that the board is only shown at an angle in the center of the screen, with lots of wasted space around its edge. You can zoom in on any space in the board, but theres no option to display the board as if it were printed on the screen of your iPad (the way that 99% of board game apps show the board). Even once you learn what each space on the board does, cards are placed on the board and they are nearly impossible to tell apart (on my Retina mini iPad) without zooming in. To make matters worse, to read a card you have to first tap the space its on, then carefully hold on the card - if you accidentally tap twice instead of holding, you move there. The dice roll quickly, but then (for no apparent reason) they SLOOWLY slide to a different part of the screen before they are tallied up. Cards also slide around slowly. When reviewing your followers, the "dismiss" button is actually used to KEEP that follower... which is the opposite dismissing him! Even on the highest animation speeds (max them out ASAP!) the AI shows all its moves as if it were a human player, leaving you waiting long periods between your turns.
Broken on both iPhone (9.1) and iPad (9.2). Buttons to restore AND to purchase do nothing. Get your act together, magicians
